In India, Annually, 500,000 people die in India because of non-availability of organs. With a population of 1.2 billion people, for every 1 million people, there is only 0.08 persons as organ donors available which is a very insignificant amount. The need for organ donation has never been greater.
The act of organ donation is hard
Anyone above the age of 18 can be an organ donor irrespective of current or past medical conditions. Children under the age of 18 can also become donors with permission from a parent or guardian. But you leave a part of you to the WORLD Organ donation can greatly improve the health, life span and the quality of life of the recipient. A single donors body might save up to 50 people.
